Default What are best parts and fluids for the X-Type????

*****= best ****=great ***=good ++=you must do this upgrade or you are missing out.

*****[REGARDING OIL AND OIL FILTER]O.K. I will take a chance here and start things off. I found Royal Purple 5W-30 (about $7.00 each)to be the best so far, I was using Mobile 1, the Royal Purple seems to let the car start in cold conditions much better. The engine seems to run smoother too. K&N seems to make the best Oil filter too($12.00 each filter), the part number for the X-Type is Part Number: K33HP2009 and the manufacture number is MFR#: HP2009.

****[REGARDING ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS]Looks like EBC for Brakes too! EBC SPORT SLOTTED AND DIMPLED BRAKE DISC SET. For the front-Part Number: E35GD981, MFR#: GD981* about $170.00pairand for the rear-Part Number: E35GD1050, MFR#: GD1050*about $150.00 a pair. The EBC pads are EBC REDSTUFF CERAMIC 3000 SERIES BRAKE PAD SET, Front-Part Number: E35DP31322C, MFR#: DP31322C ($83.00)* Rear-Part Number: E35DP31350C, MFR#: DP31350C ($65.00)*

I also found these at Vivid Racing? Rotora Front Left and RightDrilled & Slotted Rotor Jaguar X-Type 02-06each!! $157.99 Part #R.20016.1C, andR.20016.2CandRotora Rear Left Drilled & Slotted Rotor Jaguar X-Type 02-06each $112.99Pat #R.20017.1Cand #R.20017.2C.

****[REGARDING AIR INTAKES] JaguarXP Jaguar X-Type Mark III performance intake kit. $179.99 Helps with torque and top end.

*****++[REGARDING MESH GRILL UPGRADE] JagaurXP Jaguar X-Type Mesh Grille Insert$99 or Jaguar X-Type Mesh Grille $295.00. I can say that this upgrade gives great performance gains (lets much more air in) and makes your X-Type look amazing. If you do one thing to your X-Type do this!JAGXP 1-866-310-5247

I am looking for input here and trying to build a consensus if you know about theseor any other products that work the best please comment and if you think I am wrong please say why. Like I said I amtrying to start a deffinative list of things that work the best with the X-Type.

*= Part number for X-Type only!!!

SO FAR!Best Oil: Royal Purple 5W-30Best Oil Filter: K&N Oil Filter

EDLFWood, how do you like the JaguarXP intake for your X-type? Any gains in performance, throttle response, intake harmonics sound?

I was thinking of getting one for my new 2002 X-type Sport.

Appreciate the feedback!
