I found Royal Purple 5W-30 (about $7.00 each)to be the best so far, I was using Mobile 1, the Royal Purple seems to let the car start in cold conditions much better. The engine seems to run smoother too. K&N seems to make the best Oil filter too($12.00 each filter), the part number for the X-Type is Part Number: K33HP2009 and the manufacture number is MFR#: HP2009.

I am looking for input here and trying to build a consensus if you know about theseor any other products that work the best please comment and if you think I am wrong please say why. Like I said I amtrying to start a deffinative list of things that work the best with the X-Type.

EDLFWood, how do you like the JaguarXP intake for your X-type? Any gains in performance, throttle response, intake harmonics sound?

I was thinking of getting one for my new 2002 X-type Sport.
