Default What is this part? Leaking?

Underneath my car on a lift and facing the front. To the right (on pass side) of the driveshaft near transfer case I keep finding some kind of fluid on the part pictured and am not sure what that is. Could it be coming from above and settling there or is this particular part leaking something? Thanks!

what color is it? what does it smell like? It could be oil from the engine or oil from the transfer case. two different smells all together.

Yeah that part wouldn't leak oil, its a "roll restrictor" engine mount. Its just bushings in an aluminum housing.

I can't see the color per se..But if it stinks real bad, it's TC lube. The TC has a vent on top and some lube maybe coming out.. if it's mild oily smell it could be transmission leaking or engine oil

I think its the seal in the back of the transfer case. When the driveshaft turns its spraying transfer case fluid all under the car This is the TSB for the fix. I have done it on mine, and it is fairly easy. I would get it done soon as there is not much oil is the transfer case when full and you do not want to run it dry or low on fluid.

You will need to refill the transfer case too, and there are a few threads on here that will help if needed.
