Default What is this wire supposed to plug into???

I am putting my engine back together after service (coils, plugs, seals, hoses, etc...) and though I am very meticulous, I haven't the faintest clue what this green and black wire connector plugs into.

Check it out, behind the starter (ignore the plastic bag on the vacuum line, I slap them onto every open connection while working).

Lub, I bet if you look, that wire/plug will extend up to the back of the battery box. That is your battery tender plug for when the car was shipped from England to the US. You will find a spot on the back of the battery box that the plug will fit into. There or you can simply tie it out of the way in some more out of the way location.

Lub: These threads have pretty good pictures of the electrical connector Thermo mentions, with which to compare your wayward plug. It's an often-asked question.

Thanks, Thermo, dwclapp.

I appreciate dwclapp looking up those threads. When I search, I never have good results on this forum, for some reason.

Thermo, you are correct, and sure enough, after putting everything back together but leaving that plug alone, all is well, the car runs perfectly.

Thank you!
