has anyone used the wheels or anything with a similar design? they 18x8 with 40mm offset. Ive read up on wheel post here ans i think im ok as far as the fits. i do have the sport suspension but i havent seen anything here saying it should be a problem.....now back to the design any thought??? if i do get these what size tire should i be looking at? thanks in advance

 

They should fit ok and may look decent on a black X-Type, but I'm not a fan of the multi-lug look.

 

Likewise, also not a fan of multi-colored wheels. But the offset is perfect. I have a 38mm offset and I used to rub, but I've eliminated that now. 40mm might just be perfect.

 

I agree I wish it had a cover over the lugs or something. And yes my car is black so it should work out. I'm just hoping it doesn't look to gaudy or over done. Thanks for the info. Oh wait what about tire size because it gonna them separate from tirerack

I dont mean to thread jack, but how did you eliminate the rub? I have 38mm offset on 18x8's at stock height. I rolled the fronts, but can't roll the rears. And OP, the wheel design would look great on a dark X-type, except for the extra lug holes you'll have =(

 

the extra lug holes are whats killing me about these. i ordered them so ill have to see how bad it looks up close. I also finally found the clear and smoked of front fender blinkers. I already have the clear side marker

By the way, with 8" wide wheel and 40mm offset, you can expect the wheels to sit slightly further out than factory. Looks okay but could cause rear fender rub with passengers in the rear.

 

Right now I have the clear side marker I just order the smoke front fender blinker(orange) lens as soon

 

Oops the eBay post pic doesn't want to show up. The link above shows it though they have black and clear. I've waited a couple years for the front fender light to show up. I think I'll leave the rear because they go with tail lights I just don't like the amber they make cars look old especially if it isn't the crisp diamond cut pattern.

 

Actually none of this matters now because starting yesterday my car started going nuts with limp mode 23 times and now I have to restart 5-10 times to continue driving. I'm pulling a 1603 all of sudden...... There goes the paint budget
