First oil change on my car today. Super easy. Nothing particular about it. I used the same thing as on my other Jaguars, Mobil 1. I used 5w30.

Anyone else use it on their cars? I know they suggest Castrol but I don't care for it and I'm my experience it leaves a lot of varnish in the engine.

 

Umm, I'm gonna bet not too many run M1 ON their cars...course it should hold up against rusting better I would think...Just saying

 

I use whatever the lexus dealership puts in their cars...

In the 50K miles I owned my X-Type I always used M1. I changed oil and filter every 7500 miles. Occasionally needed an extra quart during those miles.

Will be doing the same with my 4.2L S-Type.

Been using mobil 1 full synthetic on mine...have 98000 miles on the clock.

 

I use Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w-30 for years in both cars and have no complaints at all. In the summer I switch over to 10w-40 due to 115 deg temps and have no problems going 7-9k before changes.
