Default Will 2005 x-type parts fit my 2002 x-type?

Hi!

I have a 2002 Jaguar X-type 3.0 and I wanted to replace the cat converters and possibly the whole exhaust system on my car.

My question is, will a 2005 x-type Jaguar catalytic converters and exhaust system fit exactly with my 2002?

Will at least the upper catalytic converters fit? This is the part I really need

I am asking because I can get a really good deal on the 2005 parts.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forum Hustle Hyde,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help section to the X-Type section. members here will be able to advise on Cat interchangeability across the Model Years.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST section and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome Hustle Hyde. Yes they will all bolt right on. If it is a used one then you might want to check out you tube on how to clean it out. If your that far you might as well. It is a bit of a pain to get the one above the transfer case but it will come out.

Have Fun,
The Dr!

I just realized that the 2005 might be a diesel... is this a huge problem and are the cat converters different than my 2002 x-type 3.0?
Is the rest of the exhaust different too? Could any of these parts be used?

:/

They do not have cats in a diesel... And the pipes might be a different size.

Good luck,

The Dr
