Will P0333 give me Cruise Not Avail?
I was having issues with the Cruise Not Avail and going into limp mode >3k rpm from a vacuum leak a while ago. Found the problem with the IMT o-rings. But the problem has reappeared, along with a CEL. Had the code read and it gave me P0333. I've been searching and I haven't been able to find a vacuum leak.
My two questions are:
Would a bad knock sensor give me the Cruise Not Avail issue? and
Is replacing the knock sensor going to solve my Cruise Not Avail, knock, and limp home mode issue? (As opposed to keep looking for a vacuum leak.)

The ECM sees the KS as high resistance or open circuit. I don't think a vacuum leak will keep the knock sensor open circuit.
You need to clear the DTC and see if it returns.
Could be faulty sensor, faulty wiring etc.
As long as the fault is in the ECM it will force maximum retard and limited engine speed.

Thanks, I will have the fault cleared. If it makes a difference the Cruise error is still intermittent. It flashes randomly as it always has, and I don't run into detectable issues until I pass 3krpm while the error is lit up. At that point it knocks and cuts out as expected.
If I drive and keep it under 3krpm there is not much noticeable knocking when the Cruise error flashes on and off.
