From that angle of the picture I can't even tell, of this is a front or rear wheel...
There are a lot more fluids in the car - as there as also ATF (automatic transmission fluid), power steering fluid, rear axle gear oil, AND FUEL.
What's the colour of the leaked fluid? What the smell?
Do I just imagine that the fluid looks red-ish? If so, it could be ATF or pwr. steering fluid (some people actually use ATF as pwr steering fluid.
So, ATF COULD BE red-ish, but it should definitely have a "funny" (as in strong) smell. Engine oil and gear oil do not smell much.
Brake fluid absorbs water, it. if you put a drop of water onto brake fluid, it should "disappear" (other than when you put a drop of water onto oil.
Is it possible that whoever changed the wheel (or wheels) placed the car-jack so incompetently that a pipe was seriously damaged by that?
Do you have a proper car-jack and an addl. stand to put under the car so that you can visually inspect for damages from underneath?
Note that you cannot move yourself under the car after just lifting the Jag with the supplied scissor-jack: I had it before that I changed a tyre, and just when I was finished, I could not even lower the jack, as it collapsed by itself - that was on a S-Type. 5 Minutes earlier and there would have been serious damage...
Yeah, I think you have to give me more than that: I do not know "NSF" and acc. to google it is the "National Science Foundation" or "not sufficient funds"..
...or is it actually the latter that you are implicitly referring to, expressing that way that you went to a cheap & incompetent mechanic, who swapped the tyres and damaged the car...?
OK, then - I would call that FL (front left). I never heard of NSF. Plus, I tried to google it.
Ok, that excludes then the rear axle gear oil.
And it is another indication of my hunch that the fluid on the floor looks red-ish. While obviously not all ATF are red-ish, some are. And if it has the characteristic "stinck" of ATF, then it is quite likely that it is ATF and a visual inspection of the Jag from underneath (with the caveats described above) should confirm either this, or a leak of the power steering fluid...
PS: Thinking about that even more: Is there any chance that some galah placed a car-jack under the tranny to lift the Jag to swap the FL-tyre? If so, that may have caused the issue...
