Default x-Type 2.0D Manual runs rough, poor fuel econemy

Issue 1:

HI, just recently had my injector changed and re coded. Car then went 100x better but I noticed it still had a rough idle, especially when cold. I also noticed the fuel economy was around 32-34 mpg. Now the guy I bought the car from said it would do 45 mpg and even more depending on the journey, (I assume mainly down a hill ) Do you think that a clean out of the EGR valve could sort it. Or a blanking plate?

This car starts on first turn, but then takes a second or 2 before it becomes responsive in any manner. I've noticed the screen above the radio lights up when it does start running "normally". Is that a characteristic of the car maybe?

Issue 2:

Possibly effected by issue 1 , When the car is in gear but no accelerator is being pushed on a flat road it will do around 45 mph easy. Has anyone experienced this before, seems way too fast for me.

So far I have used around 1/2 bottle of red-x in this

Thanks for reading, few more unrelated issues with this car but deserve different threads.
