Default X type 2.2 2006 electrical problem

Hello everyone! Can you please provide any advice or any tips to solve my problem? I have an X type 2.2 2006, and last summer,it happened once, that I couldn't use neither climate control (communication fault), speedometer, reverse lights, brake lights, ABS, wipers, cruise control, seats heating also, and some other functions. The rest, engine, and other functions worked normal. After about 15 h, all functions came back and everything worked as usual. But in the last 30 days, this problem came back for about four times. First and second time, all functions came back after about 15 h. Third time, after about 30 seconds, and fourth time, after about four hours, all functions came back, and everything is working normal. It can be a bad common earth connection for all this functions? Or a bad common module? Any advice will be much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

Vasile, based on what you are describing, your problem lies with 1 of 2 wires. I would be looking at the power wire that runs from the engine bay fuse box to the passenger bay fuse box. Check both ends for tightness. I would also be looking at these points for any sign of discoloration (turning a dark color, should be a nice silvery color). The other wire that it could be is the ground wire that runs from the body to the battery. For this, I would add a new wire (will need to be like a 10-12 gauge wire and attach it directly to the battery and to a spot on the body that is nearby. If the problem will not return with this additional wire, then your ground wire between the body and the battery is toast and will need to be replaced.

I can look at my diagrams and see if I can figure out any other commonality. It is potentially possible that you have a bad relay and that is killing off part of the fuse box.

Hello again, Thermo! One week ago, I checked the cable between boxes, also I added a 10 gauge wire from battery negative, and for one week, all was working fine. But since yesterday, the problem came back, and now, it is not going away anymore. If there would be anything else to check, I would like to try, because I ran out of all ideas. If you have any other tips, I would appreciate a lot, because, without wipers, and other vital functions, the car is useless. Thank you very much

I wish I could be of help at this instant, but being trapped in the middle of the carribean ocean, I do not have my resources. What I would tell you to do is swap your auxiliary relays for matching relays in the passenger fuse box. See if things come back. At this point, the relay has completely failed or the power wire has come off. Unlikely. Hopefully someone can give me an assist with what 2 or 3 relays these are. For the $10 a relays, may be worth while to buy one or two and start swapping out relays.

Most of your system issues seem to point back to relay R5 in the passenger junction fuse box.
Start there.
The reverse lights are driven out of relay R9 also in the passenger junction fuse box.
Fuses:
Brake lights; F51, 7.5A
ABS; F13, 5A
Seat heating; F7, 10A + F8, 20A
