Default Fuel pump

It might be a weak fuel pump. Diesel is more viscous than gas so that is a common problem with diesel cars. When it is cold the diesel is even more viscous which I'm guessing is why you are having trouble starting it cold. Otherwise it could be that you do need a new battery, you can go to you local parts store and they can check your Cold Cranking Amps of your battery. I hope this helps👍
