Default X Type 2006 Front wheel traction

Hi Everyone! I have searched the previous posts but cannot find the answer needed.

I have a 2006 Jaguar X type with front wheel traction only. It has a gasoline engine of 2.0.

What I want to know is if this model also suffers from the transfer case as the AWD options available.

The car has 45000 miles on it and it is in Costa Rica, without a lot of dealerships for help.

Answers very welcomed. I am trying to design a maintenance program for the car.

Thanks in advance!

Self explanatory = transfer case = transfers drive from front to rear, smfh.

Thanks for the information! It is of great value here. The original question I had was not properly formulated, will try again:
In your general opinion the X type FW only version (2006) suffers from the same weak transfer case as the versions in AWD?
All comments found in the forum related to this, speak of the AWD versions and their weak transfer case but found no reference to the FW version.
It is just to do preventive work and at what point.

Thanks in advance!

We in the UK have a lot of the front wheel drive vehicles both petrol and diesel. No transfer case as has been said and the GEARBOX is pretty well bomb proof. Forget it.

Thanks for the reply!! that is motivating as the car looks and drives like a champ.......I took it over with 42K and 14 years of age. So far I changed the oil and I was looking into changing gearbox fluids (as well as the dreaded TC that I do not even have! lol) as I am bit concern about the quantity of years the fluid may have on there and possible thinning down. If someone crossed that bridge, let me know what will be best course of action regarding the oil change on the gearbox (automatic FW). Besides, I am planning to try to implement the sequence of servicing that I was send by GGG with a local mechanic.
X types FW drivers out there, I am all ears. As a side comment, what a nice car man!
PS: AS English is not my first language, neither the second or the third, please have some patience as sometimes I am slow to get things properly understood............but feels great in here!
