Default X Type 3.0 automatic slipping in 3rd

Hi I don't know if you can help but i have an xtype 3.0l 2001 and the auro box is slipping in 3rd gear, ive flushed and renewed the oil, tested and cleaned the earths, checked connections to ecus and gearbox but they look ok.
Ive plugged it into a scanner and a fault of incorrect 3rd gear ratio is coming up.
Ime suspecting box internal problems and ime thinking of checking the control solenoids does any one have any information that may help.
Regards Tomostrash

Default x type slipping in 3rd 4th 5th but reverse ok

I found the problem it wes the high clutch friction plates only cost Ł85 to repair and quite easy to fit if your willing to try.

You realy need to get the codes read from the ecm and gearbox before you dive into any self diagnosis as this will save time and money.
