X Type fob won't lock car
Yes, I can still lock it with the key in the driver's side door....but all of a sudden, the lock button on the key fob doesn't work. I literally could use it yesterday and can't make it work today.
The other 3 buttons still function. Any advice would be most appreciated!

cellojag, I know you are going to think I have lost my marbles, but your problem lies in the driver's door. The cable that runs between the door lock and the actuator is binding up and what is happening is if you pay really close attention, the car actually closes 1 latch at a time and if it doesn't see a door lock, it will stop. Well, in your case, because the driver's door is the first one to get actuated and it is not working, none of the other doors will do what they should.

cellojag, most think I have lost my complete deck. After 20 years of living inside of a submarine, I figure I have lost something. LMAO.
In a lot of cases, all that you need to do is to look at the cable and give it a good lube. If the problem persists, then a new cable will be in order unless the drag has fried the actuator.

The door is easy to get off. THe big trick is the friction clips tend to break at the supports in the door. This can result in the door panel being loose when you go to reinstall things. So, being able to push the friction clips back as you are pulling on the door panel will help minimize any breakage.
As for lube, sticking with a quality silicon lube will be best. If you can, remove the cable and then hang it vertically. Put some lube in the top and keep adding til you see it come out the bottom. Then you can re-install.
