Hello Everyone,
My 2002 model x type jaguar 2.1 would not start. Displays Security failure in the dash. Towed to the dealer. after a week of diagnosing, they say the modules are ok but now saying that the instrument pack is faulty , which will cost an arm and a leg. any suggestionsor advise as to
1. Can the instrument pack become faulty all of a sudden
2. if so where can I get one and how much it may cost.

Any help will be appriciated.

Id suggest you get a mongoose cable and test it yourself first

I have exactly the same problem, it is driving me crazy as you have no idea when the car will start and when it won't.

Mine has been to Barbagellos the Jag dealer in Perth 3 times and so far they have charged $500, and now they say it is the Instrument Pack, so I am in the same position.

Apparently, the faults are also not showing on the fault log of the computer which I find very odd
