Default X-Type Manual Shift Knob remove...

Hello guys !

So, i am in the process of gift myself with a wonderful wood shift knob for my Manual 2002 2.5 X-Type....

My quesiton is pretty simple: according to JTIS (i post a scan below) i shoudl be sufficient to rotate the knob anti-clockwise ...but i tried (with reasonable force) ...and sicnerely nothign happens !

Should i try with more force or .... ?
I 'm scared of breaking something....

That's how it should come off and that's how mine has come off I think.

However, I've heard some have found their knobs to have been glued on for some unknown reason.

EDIT:
Where are you getting the wooden manual knob from?

Yeah it just twists off, righty tighty and whatnot. I got a really nice wood knob for my 5 speed from a buy on eBay that makes them.

Beautiful, isn't it? For the automatic there are several models, but for the manual shift only this one...

Anyway, my shift know won't move...i 'm fearing of breaking something...

I think that's the same guy I got mine from. Very nice, mine has a green inlay though.
