hey all, how is it going. The Jag is still at the dealer for service. I asked them to change the steering wheel, under warranty, but they are waiting for it. So i won't have the jag for couple more days.
Yeah yeah, I hear ya bro....toss in a girlfriend and life gets real complicated....lol...
man, I can't believe how fast time has flown by.....and it's finally warm here in jersey...took the time today to replace the brakes on the jag...replaced brakes and rotors....got the green stuff finally installed with the cross drilled rotors...wow, what a difference....they grab like hell! It's awesome....
Side note, As I was doing the brakes, I noticed that the axle shaft nut was loose on both front axles, especially on the left side where I had some serious endplay, not to mention tire wear was real bad...at only 30k miles I need new tires!
Anyway, noticed the axle nut was not notched..Possibly the reason it was coming loose on me. I tightened them both and endplay was gone and after a brake set in process, the steering felt much better, almost like new. I noticed a few weeks back it was getting a bit sloppy but attributed it to worn tires and the 30K miles....hopefully tightening the nut fixed it!
Ok, another martini!

Leather is worn out. So i asked to see if they would change it under warranty.....So they said yes, so i am waiting for the part.
I am sure I will get some other minor things fixed warranty runs out. My main concern was the tranny/driveshaft noise. Hopefully, they were able to take care of it.

Re the green stuff pads and grooved / dimpled rotors / discs!
I soo want to install the RED stuff pads with the upgraded discs / rotors...........soo bad. In all honesty I'm not that impressed with the stopping power of the standards at all.
But unlike you my old china..........I dont have a greenback tree.....lol
Soon though.........soon
Thats if I don't do the BMW 530d sport first........lol.....then any mods on the X will have to wait!
Jim

I swear to god I wasn't meant to be poor.............lol
I honestly believe that there was a mix up at the hospital, but, I've been waiting for my REAL parents to show up and collect me, or maybe even their butler!
Still no joy?
