Obviously facts are not as interesting as BS pulled from your asses.

Booming sales at Jaguar Land Rover boost Tata Motors profits - Business News, Business - The Independent

The demise of jag is highly over rated.

Also, the x type shares less than 18 percent common components with the Ford Mondeo and most of the major components were redesigned. There is a thread that describes the actual facts on the x type forum.

Lastly, a lot of people believe the x type was common to the US Ford Contour when in fact the Mondeo platform the x is based on never made it to the US as a Contour.

Finally, the X, S, and XJ all are built on Ford platforms. Even the current XF is built on the same platform as the old S and most jag engines as I recall are still sourced from Ford or Ford at least provides major components.

That's the global car business. Volkswagen provides major mechanical components for Lamborghini and Maserati.....

well guys, its time to remove the off topic sticky in this section.....Its been here forever and is now barely used.
This was initially instituted to get things moving in this section.....thats now no longer needed.

There's more fun to be had in the true "Off Topic" section and plenty of craic, banter, laughs and jokes there........
