Im a beginner at this so here goes.
if anyone has a problem resetting the radio/satnav on a x type screen.I changed my battery on my 06 x type,and suddenly realised that I didnt have the code for the screen.after trying all the companies who promised to retrive the code for it. I tried what was really the obvious solution.I rang the local jag dealership to me,and after giving the engimy reg number,he said "ok ,your code is ...."...no charge , just a very nice engineer.

When changing the battery in these cars I always connect a small backup battery to hold all the memories.
