Transmission noises are often a cause for concern to members and it's always good to hear of a successful resolution.

From what I have read on here that's about 3.5 quarts to much. I drained mine got about 3.5 to 4 quarts. My guess you have to much tranny fluid in the transmission. Good luck. Let's know what u find out.
I measured and put the exact same amount back in. \\this is the first time I have had the plug out of the transmission so if it is over filled then it has been for almost 4 years that i have had it. Hugh difference now has no hesitation when stopping and restarting quickly.
I used the Castrol Import Multi vehicle as well. Good stuff. I set the level by warming the transmission to 100deg F or so (don't remember the right number) and removing that small hex key plug near the gear selector attachment. Level is correct when fluid just quits coming out the drain.
I agree on 7 being too much from what I have read here on this board. More like 3.5 quarts should come out of the main drain plug. Too much fluid in the tranny will cause hella noise for sure.
