Have Jag x wagon 2005. Fan keeps running when I turn off motor. Why?
Anyone else with problem.

Is the coolant level correct? Has any recent work been done that required draining and refilling the cooling system? If so, the system may have trapped air and must be bled correctly.

Most likely a failing or sticking thermostat. JLR part number is C2S11278.

HI. I had this problem and it turned out to be a faulty engine temp sensor.

1. Air trapped (needs to be burped)
2. Low coolant
3. Thermostat
4. Coolant system temperature sensor
5. Fan control module
