Default X400 2003 Jaguar, 2.0 petrol automatic-Instrument Cluster not responding

Working on a 2003 Jaguar X-Type, AJ-V6 engine, 2.0 automatic transmission, with touch screen.
The car is a no crank no start problem, starting with the mileage display showing nothing but dashes on two rows. I managed to purchase a mongoose cable from British Diagnostics(very bad customer care, but at least the cable works) and among other things, got the response below.

I cannot seem to connect to the Instrument Pack module, and SDD shows fitted module doesn't respond. The CAN-BUS wires tot eh instrument panel were cut, and rejoined. Could this be the problem?

Then if you look closely, under Instrument pack, highlighted in Blue, the software version appears to be corrupted. Is there a way out of this? How can I get the instrument pack to respond and show a good software version?

This was screen shot when working on my 2003 X-type, 2.0 Sedan, X400 AJ-V6

Will this cause a non crank condition?
