X400 VID Block edit?
Hello, I have completed a manual transmission swap and installed a 30k 3.0 on my 02 X400. My car started out life as a 3.0 automatic with auto wipers and headlights. I have installed everything from my parts car which is was a manual, including the Junction block harness and Instrument panel harness from a 02 3.0 manual car. I need to know how to switch my vin in the ECM, Cluster and General Electronic Module. My vin is SAJEA51C02WC55888 and I need it to read as SAJEB51C02WC55888. I used bulletin 1-186 to figure out what the characters are in Hexadecimal. I just need to know if there is a way to change this? ie engineering mode? Is there someone in the PNW who maybe able to help me. I have a CF-19 Toughbook running sdd v131 and have a DA-VINA dongle. I guess my question is can someone give me any insight into VID block editing, how to access the engineering mode? I found something that said I could access the engineering mode going through a SoftwareDownload.htm in C:\Program Files\JLR\IDS\RUNTIME. I gave it a go and it did open for me but I didn't do anything as I didn't want to brick a module. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Thanks!

There is a vid block editor function that can be accessed via the gold key icon...you have to purchase a code generator subscription and it generates a code by using the seed provided by sdd...the one i bought was from obdii365...it was 44 dollars for 100 times code generator...check it out on their website...or google jlr coded access....it works great and easy to use
Also WDS can be changed to Engineering Mode without password (ie with setting DisableEngineeringPassword to correct place).
Engineerin Mode Enabled
Systempage Misc Special Functions can be opened too
Engineerging Mode offers new "things" on Setup/Configurations.
with Engineering Mode and SDD_key password calculator one can access VID Block editor too:
From here one can access VID Block Editor and should know what is going on... before going into Instrument Panel ( Cluster ) configuration with 2004 X350 VIN code...

It is ment for factory use only. Engineering mode opens lots of options on WDS and IDS to brick a car. So we / I will not disclose how it can be enabled.
