Default XM Install

Hi all

I have an 05 X Type with the 10 speaker premium sound package. It does not have the trunk mounted CD changer.

I would like to install my XM service on this head unit but am uncertain as to what components will work with the Alpine Deck. I would prefer to go Aux cable if possible.

Has anyone here had any luck doing this and if so what components were used ?

Not too sure about the 05 but there is no way I could do this on my 03. You may have to get a fm modulator thingys?

Well not sure the Fm adapter is to my liking. i have had it in other cars and it seems I always get some bleed from land based stations.

Anyone else ?

Have you even placed the modulator inline with your antenna?
