Default Xtype developed momentary rough idle when at stop

Hi folks.
05 x-type recently developed a condition where the resting idle momentarily gets rough when I am sitting at a red light. It happens very infrequently, and lasts only about a second, but it feels like the car wants to stall but then corrects itself. There are no indications that anything is wrong. No check engine lights.
What should I be looking at to possibly correct this without spending a grand at the dealership?

I can't help, but I have the same problem. I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm going to change my fuel filter this week. I'll let you know if that changes things.

Check your vaccum line from the fuel rail sensor to the intake manifold located by the firewall. there is a red tube with a black protector over it that becomes brittle. listen for air leaks. I replaced it and have not scene the problem since.

Could be many things, including what's been suggested above.

But, I just had an induction service at the dealership for $170. Car runs very smoothly now. Not sure how many miles you have on your car, but maybe worth looking into if you're in the 50K-60K range or higher. Just my 2 cents, I'm sort of a maintenance *****.
