Default Xtype door lock and seat gears don’t work

Hello been so long since last here I had to create a new account. 2005 xtype sport that I’ve had for 12years now.

So I’ve searched both issues and come to the following

The gears in the seat are stripped or broken. Is it possible to remove seat and or gears and set it at the lowest position. And just leave it. It’s stuck at highest position now and makes it harder for tall people to get in and out.

the door lock works from inside but not with remote or using remote in outside door lock. Seems like something is slipping or broken. I’ve seen where some have sticky locks and use WD-40 on locking mechanism inside. Any suggestions appreciated

WD-40 isn't really made for locks. Best thing is graphite lubricant.

Search eBay for the gears. I’ve seen the gear kits around $45US with $5 shipping. Some from China cheaper with free shipping, but China shipping usually is a month or more though.
