Default Yet Another HID Headlight Question

The HID replacement bulbs in the kit I purchased (Maxlux) have "nubs" on the base that correspond to holes on the reflector. Is this a critical orientation when the bulb is installed? The only way I can get the clips to hold the rectangular base of the bulb in place is to rotate the bulb around 30 degrees and ignore the locating nubs. I know another member of the forum used silicon to glue the bulb in the proper orientation, but I'd rather not go down that path. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Max the orientation is not that big of a deal. HID bulbs shine the light out the sides, not out the front for the most part. So, turning the bulb 30 degrees is not going to affect anything. Turn and enjoy.

Thanks Thermo. I kind of figured you'd be the one with the answer.
