You want 6+ extra HP?
Ok, I just made an incredible find and I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. While doing some mods, I re-routed the throttle body coolant hoses. The hoses run hot coolant through the throttlebdy to speed up the warm-up of fuel entering the intake. This is good for cleaner emissions and saving the planet and all that good stuff. But, if you keep the fuel cold and dense, you have a better burn and more power.
Once I made this mod, you feel the difference almost immediate! No more lagging shifts, slight hesitation is gone, an all around improvement!
I guess this voids my warranty on the throttlebody?
Anyway, it's easy to put all back to original if need be. Just be careful not to damage anything and you'll be good to go....
Side note, if you decide to do this mod and you notice that your throttle body has some black carbon build up inside of it...DO NOT USE SOLVENT TO CLEAN...it is coated with a special coating and if you take that away with solvent you just toasted your throttle body. Clean with warm soapy water and rag.

RE: You want 6+ extra HP?
they have this same mod for Vettes, called the throttle body bypass (costs $10). I bought it and asked my trustee mechanic to install it during an oil change and he did not recommend it, because it is very bad for your car during the cold winter months
so my throttle body bypass is in my glove box... hmmm, now that I have a reliable winter car, maybe I should get that installed[sm=goodidea.gif]
thanks for the reminder[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
