Default Configuring Ambient Lighting........

Hi fellow XE folks. I have the 10" touchscreen on my 2017. I've recently noticed that my ambient lighting in ice blue only comes on when my headlights are switched to 'auto.' I scroll through my touchscreen to 'extra features' and there is no ambient lighting button there in case I want to change colors. I have the technology pkg. Any insights? Thanks in advance.

Not much help but what it's worth I have a 2017 XE with the 10" screen and technology package - have the same exact issue - no ambient lighting button under extra features.

Well, at least there's another person out their experiencing the same thing The default ice blue is my favorite anyway.

Other thing is that the ambient lighting is on only when headlights are on "auto."

Just out of curiosity .... are you saying you had the option on screen to change colour and now it has gone ? - the 'technology' pack did not include "advanced ambient lighting" as far as I can see, it was a separate option. Is it just a case of - you assumed you have it when you don't ?

I don't think it was part of any 'pack'. It was a separate option for about £300, probably why not many cars have it as the original owners probably didn't consider it worth having at the price.

I own a 2017 35t Prestige AWD with Meridian Surround Sound and the 10” Infotainment/navigation screen. It is true that CONFIGURABLE ambient lighting is an option. We don’t have configurable ambient lighting on our XE, our 2016 XF, or 2018 F-PACE S; however, we’ve had it on our three F-Types and 2018 E-PACE R-Dynamic P300. The E-PACE has a fully configurable color palette which includes gold, green and purple; whereas, our 2015, 2016 & 2018 F-Type coupes only had/have variations of white, blue and red. IMO, the E-PACE configurable ambient lighting color palette is by far the best and replicates that in my wife’s BMW X2 M35i. The range of color choices in the F-Types is so limited that it really isn’t worth the extra money for the option. The default blue is very soothing. Unfortunately, Jaguar went cheap on the default ambient lighting on the 2018 F-PACE by reducing the number of interior lights (e.g. immediately above the glove box).
