Hi had Jaguars before a couple of XFs really nice , thinking of getting a XE heard some nightmares about the 2.0 Ltr unit thinking of getting a 2.2 any ideas what i should be looking for , apart from history and the like , any help appreciated

 

The earlier XE's have 2.0 Ford EcoBoost engines. The later ones has the Ingenium 2.0. My suggestion is look for an XE that has gas/petrol 2.0 Ingenium engines that is proven durable by a lot of Jaguar and Land Rover owners. Stay away from the Ingenium 2.0 Diesels especially with more than 60K miles as it is more prone to engine timing chain noise or timing chain may snap off resulitng in engine failure

I have a 2019 XE 25t Premium AWD. I got it two and 1/2 years ago for $24k and it had 26k miles. I absolutely love the car. I have 48k miles on it now and I have not had any problems with it. It runs and handles great. Gas mileage is really good too. I get about 29 mpg overall with a mix between highway (generally no traffic) and local driving.
