Angry New XE broken Upper Display for almost 2 months

Hello all,

First time posting here but I kinda reached my wits end. I took delivery of an XE P250 on the 7th May this year. Everything was fine until the day after when the upper display suddenly went black and then never turned on again. Garage took the car in a few days later and told me it was nothing to worry about and that an OS update was going to fix it. Later that afternoon I get the car back and the after sales person tells me they fixed it but that they also needed a spare part which they had no delivery time on. At this point I already thought something was fishy. Either the car is fixed or it isn't. The Part in question is an AVX cable that supposedly interfaces the onboard computer with a bunch of other systems. The man said that the screen is no working but that he couldn't guarantee it would keep doing so for a while.

I get back in my car and the screen was still not working. Only thing that seemed to have been done was a factory reset given the lower screen had changed colour and my phone was no longer pairing. I call the after sales guy immediately after and he said all flustered that they would get back to me as soon as possible.

One week goes by and I have no news. I call and they tell me they still have no delivery date. Another week goes by...same thing. After about 4 weeks and having lost most of my patience I called demanding that the garage offer some kind of solution or compensation because I found the entire situation unacceptable. After some back and forth he agreed they would think of something to at least remedy the issue. Another week goes by and at this point I have really lost my patience. I emailed the sales person who sold me the car (because at this point i realised the after sales people were useless) and explained that if they were unwilling to find some kind of solution or compensation I was going to take my experience online and write reviews about their garage. The person was very taken aback at the whole situation and agreed that it was unacceptable, that he would talk to the director of the garage and come up with something.

Today June 23 after a month and a half I get a call back offering saying that they could not offer me any compensation but that they could offer me a Land Rover off-road experience. On the site it has a supposed value of 400e for half a day of driving. After taking a look at the promo stuff and deciding it was definitely not worth my time I emailed back asking for something more concrete (how about some winter tires?). I haven't received a response given this was today but at this point I'm kind of fed up with the whole thing and wanted to know if anyone here has shared a similar experience and if so, how was it resolved?

Sorry for wall of text....if you have read this far then thank you.

Is this a brand-new car bought from a Jaguar main agent and under factory warranty ? Your rather sad story seems to show them as what we in England would call "a load of muppets" ! Hardly good customer service.
