Yesterday I brought my XE to my very competant mechanic and asked him to replace a non-functional rear turn signal bulb. We opened the trunk and neither of us could figure out how to access any of the back-end bulbs! I did find a panel on the passenger side at the very back of the trunk, but inside the panel was what I believe must be every fuse the car has, with no sign of any bulbs.

I now have an appointment with my local dealership... they’ll probably have to tear the car apart to replace the bulb... new joke: how many Jaguar mechanics does it take to change a light bulb?

(my wallet is afraid to learn the answer!)

 

I haven’t needed to change one yet but a search shows that the light cluster needs to come out ......
Im sure someone else will chime who may have replaced one.

 

Different model - same principle. The rear light units have to be removed to change the bulbs in my XK.

I swapped one of mine just over a month ago using the images/directions @Daf11e shared... less than $5 and under 30 minutes and a couple of minor swear words. It is weird taking the entire light assemblyoff, and an odd angle on the right side of the car with the fuse panel, but it's not that hard. You can do it!
