Default Tachometer question

Anyone know if the tachometer is cable driven. I am noticing a faint ticking sound coming from the dash and it is definitely rpm related. If I put the car in park, and slowly rev the engine, the sound accelerates up-and-down. I’m taking the car in for service this week. This should be a good one. LOL.

Rev counter is electronic.

You may be hearing the fuel injectors open and close.

Would that be weather related? When I left Florida and put it on the train the next morning it was 40° colder in Virginia. That’s when I noticed the ticking. Now that I am in PA, it’s 50° colder than when I left Florida. This noise is very annoying! I hope the dealer come do something about it. Thanks.
