As far as sales, no, nothing coming up. But you can get 10% off with the coupon code 'JAGFORUMS' through our website, or in other words, about $11/per horse
Newbie as well...was sure hoping for 30% off

I've been watching this thread for quite a while and it is almost time to do this minus the pulley mod. Just getting that extra 10% out of this fantastic engine is exciting.

Interested in hearing more feedback regarding the F-type mimic exhaust before I pull the trigger.

Stuart please feel free to PM me with more details.

Hi All
Just got my tuner from Velocity AP and I am attempting to read the ECU to send to them.
However I am getting an error: "An error occurred while reading data from ECU. Please try again"
I have the car connected to a battery charger, and the hand held tuner has been updated via computer.
I have a 2018 35t RSport with digital dash. When I start the read of the ECU on the handheld tuner the digital dash turns off (not sure if it is part of the issue). As expected, lights and fans turn off / on while the attempted read is happening. However, shortly after starting 15-30 seconds later I get the error on the hand held.
I have got the car in ignition on mode when running the tuner.
Anyone seen this before or have any suggestions? Keen to get going on my tune!
Thanks!

Connect the device to your computer and open the VTech software. Select 'Download LOG' and save the output file. If you email to us we can take a look at it.

Just to verify, you have the ignition fully switched on (but without starting the engine) correct?

Thanks Stuart. Log file on its way to you.
Yes, running with car in on, but not running.

For the Ecoboost (XF, Evoque, Disco Sport) 2.0L, yes. For the Ingenium 2.0L nothing is available.

Dropped VAP tune and pulley on my XE-S today! A lot more varoom now along with the pops bangs and crackles!

Needed a third hand so I put a jack handle on my ratchet used to release the belt tensioner. Hooked a ratchet strap to the jack handle and tied the strap off on the family lawn mower! American ingenuity. Or redneck engineering??

Nicely done @STSWAM! I got mine done + springs just a couple of weeks ago as well. I didn't have a lawnmower handy, so I went to SoulSpeed in Austin instead to get the pulley/cable & springs put on.

I tried the pops/gurgles option on the tune at first, and adequately annoyed all neighbors and parents as I'm driving by the school in the morning, That may be worse as I've had the resonators deleted as well.... either way I've decided to switch to not-so-poppy-gurgly settings.

Huge thanks to Stuart & crew for dealing with all my questions and for the forum discount.

I also have resonator delete. Find pops fine in non-dynamic mode but they do wake up the world in dynamic mode. How do you like the springs as they are on my radar?

also thanks for chiming in. I had an ftype the past couple of years and so enjoyed that forum as I fiddled and nodded the car. Seems the xe folks spend too much energy complaining about the car and not enough enjoying its finer characteristics. Maybe you and I can spread the positive energy of this really understated sedan.

Man, your cars should haul. I have a VAP tune (no pulley) for my F-type that I haven’t gotten around to installing yet.

@DJS -- It does. I hope to see you on the road before you get yours done. Wheelspin off the line is now the thing I'm learning to deal with/control. We'll call that a good problem to have.

@Stwsam Your brain allows you to drive in anything but dynamic mode?! I'm struggling with that concept. S/Dynamic is the default configuration for my hand movements after I've started the car. Springs are awesome. Maybe it's confirmation bias, but my cornering just feels tremendously better --and I've been fairly aggressive. No silliness in normal driving either, feels the same. The SoulSpeed Performance | High Performance Automotive Services | Austin, TX alignment likely helped too -- tuning cars for track is their thing. And I absolutely love the new look..

Do you mind if we use this picture of your car on our website/social media?

What about XE 25t with Ecoboost engine? Which product should I pick on VAP site?

I don't *believe* the XE was ever fitted with the Ecoboost engine, my understanding was that they were all Ingenium.

Check this thread https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...2017-a-209592/
How can I prove? Should I take a picture?
