These three symbols started appearing in the center TFT display when I last drove my wife's XE over the weekend. There's nothing about them in the user manual/guide.

What are they and why do they turn green when I'm driving?
Why did they suddenly appear?
How do I get them to go away?

 

They're the meters from the ECO mode. They tell you how well you're driving based on your braking, acceleration and overall speed. If you're not in ECO mode (which is controlled from the buttons in the middle console), then you accidentally pressed the button on the turn signal stalk I had no idea it was a usable button, but it toggles through a bunch of different indicators like MPG, trip gas usage, and a few other things.

Press down the silver button that's on the end of the turn signal stalk (the stalk on the left) and it'll cycle through the menus.

 

Perfect, thank you! I had noticed the silver button but didn't realize it would do something. I guess I must have pressed it by accident when driving.

 

I did the same thing! Then afterwards I started hitting any buttons I could find inside the cabin to see if there were any more "easter eggs"
