Just getting to know the new car. Since I bought it used, and even though it was serviced, I've been doing the usual stuff and looking into adders, customization, etc. You know. All the stuff you do. So anyway I changed the intake air filters, while I was at it I bought a new cabin filter.

I had no idea I was going to have to drop 10 T30 bolts and a couple facia panels including the glove box assembly to get to the stupid thing. What a horrible design. Glad I did it though.

You would be surprised that a lot of manufacturers have this design. Not just Jag.

 

It was simple to change on the XK and I think on my XJ as well. Nice to have a new cabin filter!

 

Anyone have instructions or a video for the cabin air filter replacement for a 2019 XE S?

REMOVAL

1. WARNING:Make sure that the blower motor speed is in the minimum position. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
   
   CAUTION:Failure to carry out this step correctly, can result in damage to the recirculation motor/flap.

   1. Switch ignition on.
   1. Press the recirculation button for three seconds to set the climate control system into to recirculation mode.
2. Refer to:Glove Compartment (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
