Default 2 post lifting points? Xfs 3.0 diesel

Hi, does anyone know the lifting points on the x260 please? Should I lift from inside where the arrows are marked on the sils?
thanks

Those arrows are for the supplied jack. I don't have a pic on my phone, but a quick internet search will turn up a diagram or two.

From the workshop manual.

The lifting points.

Here are the support points after you get it jacked up as you never work under anything unless it is supported and NOT on a jack!
They are very close together so you might have some trouble getting your jack stands to fit.

I have an XJ and those spots are by the arrows cast into the plastic skirt of the car. On the XF I am not sure?

Interesting comment about the factory jack that I had not seen before either?

One error I made? My answer if from the Gen I XF manual? Don't have a manual for the later Gen II like you have.
Cars are still pretty close but Jaguar may have changed things?
Anybody have the Gen II instructions?

Hi all,
Ive just had the car on the 2 post lift, lift points are easy there straight behind the markers on the sill. If it helps anyone out anyday car and van rentals in heanor are renting a workshop and 2 post lift which is perfect for the diy jobs.

I have a 2 post hoist for my Jags.
Be careful with the XF.
You might find the arm of the hoist hits the plastic trim under the doors before it takes up the jacking points.
I had to make wooden spacers between the pad on the end of the arm and the jacking points to prevent that.
You will see what I mean when you try it.

Follow up.
I found one of the hoist aid pads I made. Photo attached.
You need a hardwood, pine might be a bit soft. It is 35mm thick.
The 2 screws help locate the side of the seam where the jacking point is.
Not much space under there when trying to get it in place.
The groove in the pad is created from the seam resting on it.

Good idea!
I also use what's called Pinch Weld adapters on my new two post lift.

They are made of rubber.

The same idea just made of rubber.
