2011 xf aux port problem
My 2011 jaguar xf started making a clicking sound. Like a turn signal .dealer says it's when I'm plugged into the aux port .The clicking stops when it's switched to fm. The dealer also said they do not know what the issue is or the fix. Anyone else have any ideas?

Is this happening when you have your phone connected via AUX? Do you still hear the sound if you move the volume twister to the lowest setting? Also - if you listen to a song, do you hear the sound overlaying the music?
On my 11, if I leave it plugged into the phone, and there is no music on, I hear a background sound from the machine. But if I turn volume knob off to lowest setting it dissapears. It is also eliminated when I am actually playing music.
Apart from this I don't know how to fix it.. just more how to manage it. Also not completely sure if this is the same issue..

My son drives the jag .he said he doesn't hear it if the music is on .when I drove it to the shop I heard it very loud. Like a turn signal sound .the cord was plugged into the aux jack but connected to nothing .My son said if he shuts the whole radio system off it stops .I didn't check the volume because the car is still at the jag shop

Yes, this sounds like the same problem I have. I think it's something do with the AUX wiring and is complicated.. With mine, if I leave it not connected to anything - wire just hanging out of the AUX - if I turn the volume up it can definitely sound like a turn signal/loud interference which is variable dependent on the volume setting. If's it still at the shop you could ask them if you change the volume dial does it change the sound? Also get them to plug a phone into the other end? If it stops, that is like mine - just interference. I know it's not a solution - but I just turn the volume down when I hear that - or plug my phone in. If your son finds that it is the same volume even when the volume dial is changed - then Sorry I don't know what that problem is... Hope this helps.

Sounds familiar.- My 2 cents but I suspect the only people who know about it are the electronics engineers at Jag - I think this is a wiring/interference within the car's electronics and the dealer's cant get to it. Either way - wouldn't trade it for a car with better electronics and not as much growl!
