2016 Jaguar XF (S) reliability/issues?
Hi Everyone. I am looking to purchase a 2016 Jaguar XF, preferably the S, but open to suggestions and advice of other models as well. I'm having a hard time finding threads/posts about problems of this vehicle. Can anyone provide any insights in terms of the known mechanical/electrical issues of this vehicle? How reliable has it been? It would be my daily driver for the next 5 years at least. Thank you for your time and effort!
Probably because there aren't any endemic problems with the x260. Mine has been the most reliable new car I've ever owned.
2016 here, not an S but scoots right along with the supercharged engine. No issues at all...a pleasure to drive.
Oh, and surprisingly fantastic in snow (despite the clearance) even with the all season tires.

One of the reasons I chose to get a AWD is because I live in a snowy state, you said it was surprisingly fantastic and I was wondering if you could elaborate on that? I've been driving a rear wheel drive car in the snow and ice for over 3 years and am hoping the AWD will save me from white knuckle driving as much as I normally do.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Sure, it’s just great in the snow, the awd and traction control do a great job in poor weather. Just don’t be overconfident. The only downside I have, is the car is very low so in deep snow the front lip will plow through the snow....
I live in Michigan and the roads are usually pretty clean in the winter but will accumulate about 4"" during the day during really bad storms between plowing. I take the 4.1" ground clearance is referring to the front as you suggested?
Very glad to hear you like the way the vehicle handles the snow! Me wanting/needing AWD is what limited me to the amount of XF's available and I'm happy to hear that I made the right choice in foregoing other XF's for the one I chose 500+ miles away.
Thanks again!

I live in the UP, but in my area we usually don't get the highest snow fall so I think Detroit is actually more snow prone than where I live. Good news for me then if that was your baseline for handling!! Tomorrow is the day, couldn't be more excited.
