I just bought a 2016 XF AWD V6. It should be delivered in a couple weeks. Low mileage, from a dealer on the other coast, an independent mechanic checked it for me. Nothing seems wrong with it.
I will be watching this forum and adding comments or questions from time to time. I have had a 2006 X Type Wagon for a couple years, high mileage, minor quirks, I will sell that. I drove a 1966 S type for 13 years but I sold that also.
I used to like tinkering with cars but those days are past. I would like to see the spark plugs on my X type but I just don't want to have to dig all the way down to where ever they are hidden under all that mess.
So, buy another car with good plugs and welcome to the new world.
I would have preferred a Sportbrake but the used ones were all white or black. I found a blue sedan instead.
The general comments on the XF in this forum were encouraging and I thank you all for that.

Same boat, flying to check out a Certified 16 AWD with relatively low miles and most features I wanted/needed. Very excited, I'm driving the vehicle back home (if I like it in person) so I'll get to know the vehicle pretty intimately after a 10 hour drive. For the last week I've gone through the online owners manual, created a Topix account so I can run the VIN and compare the features the dealer said vs what's actually on it (so far they only screwed up the color). Disappointed it doesn't have the lighted sills but I found them online and will be installing them myself to complete the look.

Best part is, where I live nobody has a Jaguar. I'm surrounded by A3's and A4's, C-Class's, 3 Series but nothing of this caliber and I can't believe the steal I got it for! I was thinking of getting an A6 but my GF legitimately thought they were a Mercury, so I abandoned that and started researching. It's a shame that a Jag wasn't even in my purview, I really hope they can change that in the future. Everybody knows BMW's, Benz's, Audi's and even Cadillacs at this level but Jaguar just seems to slip by. I'm forgoeing some of the "lux" of a E class because the Jag is said to be the best drivers car, since I'm going to be driving it thats what I care about the most.

Welcome! I just bought a 2016 AWD 35t a couple weeks ago. There are a lot of good, low mileage XFs coming off lease right now it seems. Glad I got one!

I've had some of those cars you mentioned and what is said is correct.

Hope you all did steal them, three dealers didn’t offer me over 22k for mine this past week. I have only 27k on it, and it’s in excellent condition.

I paid $24,900 for a 2016 in great condition (not so much as a rock chip) with 27k miles on it. It's a CPO so I've got something like 2-3 years left on the warranty. Considering a dealer markup, what you were offered on trade seems in line with what I paid.

You could net a few thousand more if you sold your Jag privately.

Well done. Here in Mass there is a tax advantage to tradings, so even if I take the low offer it saves me on some of the tax...just caught me off guard how much it depreciated.

Now I just need to post my XF cross bars and winter mats for sale

Where I live we don't have many dealers (2 within 220 miles from where I live) so I had to expand my search quite a bit to find inventory, then find one with a CPO in a 35t AWD Prestige configuration that had a winter package installed; I got very very lucky! I called the dealer and put a down payment on the vehicle and told them I would be flying out in about a week and have been anxiously waiting ever since. I test drove a CT6, a 3 series and a Audi A6 within the last 4 months and each felt they were missing something, but he Audi was honestly pretty damn good. I'm buying a used Jag right now and if I love it then I'll buy a new one in a few years and have that first owners experience I'm sure is just unreal.

What is the winter Package? Do you mean cold weather, heated seats and steering wheel?

I have that, minus the windshield...the heated steering wheel on a cold day is the best. The ventilated seats on a hot day are pretty nice as well. Enjoy your new car, when are you picking it up?

Did you get the LED lights and soft close doors?

Yeah it has the upgraded LED lights, blind spot, soft close doors, powered trunk, heated and cooled front seats, heated back seats, heated windshield, Dynamic mode, and some others I think. I know it has the Vision Pack and Comfort and Convenience Pack along with the Winter Package and a few other options but the listing has been pulled since the car is on hold for me. I have Topix but it's hard drilling that down to figure out what the abbreviations mean.

Thanks! Tomorrow is the big day; as long as nothing happens to my flight I'll be in one relatively soon.
