2017 XF Navigation
We have had our XF for 6 months now. It is a great car and we love it. However, that being said, the navigation system leaves a lot to be desired. We are very surprised at it's lack of ability to detect traffic situations the way Google Maps, Waze, Garmin, etc. do. With those, not only do they do that, but they also give rerouting options. Jaguar's system doesn't. At least not that we can tell.
So, my question is this. Is there any way to send/display Waze, or other navigation apps, to the "Touch" screen? InControl apps doesn't do anything for us, either. As a matter of fact, I can no longer get it to even come up on the screen. Evidently, 2019 and later models can do all that, but ours is a 2017.

Mine is a 2018 & I don't have a problem. Although I don't used the NAV system often, the car always knows where we are
.
Maybe in your particular area the NAV system gets confused. Have you checked the dealer if there is a software upgrade?

I have a 2019 model and have had no problems with the sat-nav. It seems to be up to date on traffic situations and has successfully re-routed us on numerous occasions. My only criticism is that sometimes an alert can go un-noticed as it isn't accompanied by a sound - maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere,
I've been impressed enough to recently renew the subscription to the Maps and In-control software.

I also have a 2017. I purchased ~ 2 years ago certified. Dealer did software upgrade before purchase, It is fully compatible with apple carplay and I use waze more than I use the Jag nav system. I think the Jag nav only picks up traffic in larger cities??
@robertccc Mine has picked up traffic all over the place - in the wilds of Wales, Devon and Cumbria to name but a few places.
Also have a '17 with InControl Touch.. not Pro.
I had real time traffic until I removed the 4G sim card from the trunk last month..
I know the '17 still had 3G in-car WiFi (as mine did) but the 4G sim card was also supported.
Since Covid, we just don't travel like we used to..

Mine works fine but I rarely use it. When I have it notifies me of traffic problems and backups with suitable detours. There was a system software update around the second year of ownership I remember, maybe yours needs it done?
Mine has just flagged up that the 3-year subscription that came with the car from new expires in March 2022. After that, I will lose the live traffic updates, local fuel prices, parking and a few other features if I do not renew the subscription.
Sounds like your subscription has expired.
Jaguar.Here says:
Connected services are included with a map subscription.
