I have been considering the F-Pace. One thing I found is that the cabin noise is not as quiet as I expected.

Im not sure if it is road/wind noise or if its actually engine noise. I think some of it was what the dealer described to me as intentionally engineered exhaust sound that he said was intended to make it sound like an F-Type. I found it boomy and irritating.

What is the cabin noise like in this car? One of my main reasons for upgrading and considering this purchase is because Id like to get a really great sounding audio system and a quiet cabin environment that maximizes that experience, so I am interested in feedback on this from current owners.

My R-Sport is Quiet. If anything I wish there was some hint of an exhaust note upon acceleration. The exhaust sound level switch in the F-Type I drove was a neat idea.

 

The F-Pace is a different model than the XF. No exhaust sound for the XF inside the cabin. Supercharger/intake noise in the cabin is proportional to throttle position :-) but normally very low.
