Default Exhaust question

hey guys im looking to just do something stupid to the exhaust, planning on unbolting the rear mufflers, and slapping on some sort of garbage mufflers from autozone, but i was just wondering the size of the pipe right before those rear mufflers on a 2016 XF r-sport 35t. thanks yall

I just had the rear mufflers removed from my 2017 XF S. The pipes are 2.5" I believe. I didn't replace with any new ones. Added 3" black tips. Sounds awesome!!!

Would be great to see a video! Did it add any sort of rasp? Or just a general volume increase?

Yeah, he's my co-pilot. Those were shrieks of joy! He helped me pick out my car because of the Deadpool seats 😆

Sounds much better in person. Any muffler shop can do it for about $200 + exhaust tips. Since they're after the cats it shouldn't void your warranty 🤞

Car sounds great! Sometimes it's very hard to tell volume from phone video but I didn't hear any ugly rasp or drone which is always a ++. Good choice on the seats, too.

The kid screaming had me 😂😂😂 Looks like you got a future car guy in the family 😎

There is some drone around the 2-2500k rpm range. If you're sensitive to it you may want to consider the resonator delete and keeping all the mufflers in place. I've gotten used to it
