Default ICTP Instrument Cluster Question

I Have a 2016 XF with the digital instrument cluster. The MPH only show in the minimal theme in my car is that normal? The reason I ask is because I only use the Heads Up Display which has the readout when using navigation.

Doesn't have digital readout

Yup, stupid. This whole display is just unfinished. I don't have a heads up display, so all I have is this display, and its severely lacking.

The only good part about getting the Pro is the audio system, the rest is a big negative.

Fortunately at the end of a day it is just a display and they may issue a software update which will fix the usability issues.

It would be much worse with the physical hardware...

Unfortunately car companies rarely do that. With the exception of Tesla and some high end cars (McLaren, etc), all they will do is fix bugs, and they don't always even do that.

Mine is the same way; I was hoping with the latest update to the ICTP that it would show the digital MPH, but nope. Oddly enough, in the XF catalog, the cluster shows the MPH.

I guess it must be a local law thing.

My UK ICTP displays the digital speedo on all the themes (as well as the current speed limit from the traffic sign recognition).

No option to turn it on or off, just switch between mph and kph.

Thanks bensales. What year is your XF? I'm sending my back to the dealer to have them get me an explanation for this (hopefully there is a fix - very annoying).

Well, a headache turned out to be a bit of a blessing (story here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...7/#post1702537) - there was another software update my car needed, and now I have the digital MPH showing up in the center of the speedometer!!!

Yup, I just got the update and the digital speed information now appears. It really is a big improvement.
