Default Led pace headlights

Hopefully I’ve put this post in the right section. My xf has xenons but the iindicator is a standard bulb so I was thinking of swapping them too led technology pace ones. Are they a straight swap or or a huge deal ? Thanks all 2016 xfs 3.0d

Ian,

YES - you have posted in the relevant forum for technical questions about your 2016 XFS.

If you have the bulb number then look them up on amazon or ebay to corresponding led replacement. Remember to get a clear for clear or amber, red etc. Even if they are clear i would recommend a superbright led of the same color as any lensed light you replace. When i have done red side markers they looked pink, so switched to red led and very happy.

Hi yes this can be done. I have just bought a set to replace my Xenons. You will need to drop the bumper in order to remove existing headlamps the new ones just fit straight in. Everything will work with the exception that on the inside of the car the indicators will blink faster than normal as the system will think a bulb has been blown. This can be remedied by fitting a resistor each side in parallel . I haven't done mine yet as I done know which of the wires is the indicator and would like to know in advance. I have a circuit tester which I hope will help.

Another forum member has successfully done this Ian Kerry who kindly helped me link here to post

Hopefully thats useful.
