Hi I have recently bought my Jaguar XF sport brake rsport wow what a car had it for around four months now and rally like it up to yesterday when all the radio sat nav and any sound seems to have gone off please can anyone help is this something I can resolve myself or is it a garage visit

First: the battery. Believe or not, a battery putting out less than full voltage can produce any number of odd symptoms, including those you mention (and many others). So assuring that the battery is fully charged is the first thing. The second possibility is simply a loose connection in a module. There will be others here who can tell you which module/ modules might be affected. I am familiar with the layout of other Jaguar models but not the XF.

 

Thanks for your help the battery seems ok any idea where these modules could be !! I’ve just spent an hour check fuse but to be honest I don’t seem to be able to find the correct fuse diagram anywhere

 

Any idea where the SDARS is on the xf sport brake

 

There is a recall for SDARS "freezing" which may be relevant to your issue:

It appears that any intervention in the system requires Jaguar SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics).
