Ok maybe these three green lights have always been on but I’m just noticing and i can not figure out what they are. They are green so probably nothing to be concerned just not sure if I turned something on by mistake. They illuminate when moving. One is a foot on a pedal, one is a speed looking thing and one is a circle with parentheses around it. Please help as i have been unable to find anything
That part of the display is for the Trip Computer: the exact parameters can be selected within a configuration display and you cycle through them by pressing on the switch at the end of the indicator stalk. That is probably why you see this display intermittently - you are accidentally pressing that switch and changing the display each time.
The display from left to right relate to accelerator, speed and braking and give an indication of the extent to which you are driving efficiently. The more green that shows for each, the better you are doing... though you are probably not then driving your XF to be best of its abilities... ;-)
Trip computer panel display options are selected in the Display Settings of the menu system: Jaguar Owner Information
These lights are as useless as the old "gasoline efficiency" meters that were a round dial with the needle going from green to yellow to red and activated by engine vacuum.
They are fuel economy coach, they show up when you select economy driving mode. The first one is gas pedal, the second one is RPM, and I believe the last one is brake pedal. The more green bars you get the better it is for the fuel economy.
