Default Personal touches

I'm pretty conservative about altering my rides, but do like to add touches I enjoy, not for the purpose of making them noticed. The lower production levels means you won't find many XF-specific goodies, so I would be interested in anything nice you may have found. I'll share mine:

One thing I noticed and admired on the F-Type loaned me was a black plastic trim ring on the steering wheel, disappointingly absent from my R-Sport. Stumbled on and bought one from an ebay listing, where you'll see a photo if you're not familiar. It arrived quickly and looks great.

I've also ordered a set of black pedal covers, but only for the dead pedal part that I expect will fit the section of unprotected carpet not covered by the stock mat. If it works I'll pass it on for your consideration.

The stock 19" wheels are a bit bright and quite ordinary IMHO, I thought these asymmetrical, darker rims worked better, particularly with the dark green paint.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered a matt chrome ring. I've been looking for a dead pedal cover....where did you order yours from? (I assume it's for a LHD vehicle?)

The blank ones pictured in the auction arrived with a logo; the seller had no more without one. I don't really expect to find a Jag specific dead pedal, was just looking for a generic variety whose published measurements come close to the need.

+1 I would prefer stainless steel. Might just end up making one. Most I've seen (wrong size) have rubber inserts in a pattern. I don't see the need for non skid in this application.....do you? It's just a foot rest, not leverage point.

Yes, I agree, and I'm in less of a hurry to find one these days. I got an alloy one for my E Class Merc because the carpet was the sorta Sand Beige color, the quality wasn't very good, and it showed dirt and wear pretty quickly. My XF has black carpeting, and I am not expecting noticeable wear as quickly.
