Incoming and outgoing calls are barely audible on 2016 Jaguar XF

Please give more details about the make, model, and software version of your phone.

Does it work with other Bluetooth devices without a problem? It could be a problem with the interaction with your XF, and it could be as simple as you also need to turn up fully the volume on the phone itself once it is connected, but you probably already checked that sort of thing...

 

I've noticed if my iphone 8+ is in my pocket while driving the reception is poor. If the phone is sitting in my proclip cradle I purchased the reception is much improved.

 

I have not noticed this with mine (iPhone 8).

Additional question for Stuart: does music streaming over Bluetooth work correctly?

 

Heat attenuating windshield certainly affects reception. Also if you put metallic tint on your windows the reception is going to be affected.

But I suspect that you are complaining about the phone volume rather than the quality. If this is the case have you tried to increase a volume with your phone's controls and/or the volume knob on Jag's radio?

 

Never had any issue with my S7 and my 16 XF (I have the heated windshield as well)

 

My iPhone 8 IOS current version 11.4 works flawlessly in my 2017 XF. No issue whatsoever.
