I have a 2017 XF R-Sport with the ICTP infotainment system. The dealer recently updated the software to what he says is the most current. I think he may be right because the Home screen is now in the format found in current model XFs, no longer the 4 squares with the colorful pictures. I have tried, with no success, to get text messaging working. I know it is available in the 2019 model and I assumed that since I have the newest software, it would work in my car.
My question is, has anyone with a 2017 XF with the ICTP system, been able to get this working. I have discovered that the “Show Notifications” setting in the Bluetooth settings for the car on the iPhone is not available. I’m guessing that the phone is looking for Bluetooth messaging when it pairs with the car. PS, I am using an iPhone X which I have successfully set up on a 2017 F-Pace with the ICT infotainment system, so I assume the phone is not the issue. Anyone have any info to offer?

Yes I have. I forgot the devices in both the car and the phone. I waited over night before attempting to re-pair them, with no success. I also did a full software reset on the phone and tried again with no success.
